Ford 5 Window Coupe
Back
This is the "Street
Seats" shop car! It's a 1936 steel Ford 5 window coupe. Aside
from the many exterior body modifications, the interior has a few tricks
going on as well. The interior has a completely hand-formed fiberglass
shell.
The dashboard is made form steel and custom
designed to house the power windshield motor as well as the Dakota
Digital gauges. The design then wraps around into the door panels
and continues around the rear of the compartment encompassing the entire
interior in design. A custom hand-formed console houses a retractable hidden
switch panel. This panel contains 14 buttons which control the front and
rear windshields, door windows, power hood and deck lid. Headlights, wiper
and fan are also hidden in the panel which disappears into the console
with a touch of a hidden button beneath the material. Indirect lighting
within the console and dash are also hidden and illuminate the interior
with just a push of a button on the keypad. Overhead, is an Alpine stereo
system housed in yet another custom console. The material is silver pearl
ultra-leather with matching suede headliner and inserts. The bucket seats
are custom modified to fit the compartment and also wrapped in ultra-leather.
So if you see our car at your favorite "Cruise-In" or show, feel free to
stop and say "Hi" to A.J. or Cathy to talk about your new project.
